Terms of Use

Acceptance

By creating an account or using CollegeVerge (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. The Service is operated by CollegeVerge [legal entity to be finalized]. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and parental consent

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. If you are 13 to 17, a parent or guardian must approve your account before you can contact schools or coaches or share your materials. By approving, the parent or guardian confirms they consent to the student's use of the Service.

What the Service is

CollegeVerge helps you organize your college search, score your fit, draft messages, build a resume, and keep parents informed. It complements but does not replace the Common Application, MaiaLearning, or any school system, and it is not affiliated with them. Admissions data is drawn from public sources such as the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard and may lag the current year.

Your account

Keep your login secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at jerry@goventus.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

Use the Service for your own college process. Do not misuse it, attempt to access other users' data, scrape or copy the database, or use it to send spam or harmful content. Messages you send to schools and coaches are your responsibility.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. You can cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the paid period. The free tier does not require a card. [Refund policy to be finalized.]

Your content

You own the content you create, such as your profile, resume, and notes. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service for you (for example, generating your PDF or sharing a link you create). We do not sell your content.

No guarantee of outcomes

The Service provides organization and guidance, not admissions decisions. We do not guarantee admission, scholarships, or any result. Always confirm deadlines, requirements, and policies directly with each school.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, CollegeVerge is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the prior 12 months.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations of these Terms.

Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. We may update them as the Service grows and will post the new effective date here. Questions: jerry@goventus.com.
